Assembly of Delegates
The Assembly of Delegates is the FSPC’s parliament or legislative body. It meets twice a year: in June, it is hosted by one of the member churches, and in November, the delegates convene in Berne. The member churches are represented with 70 delegates while the Diaconal Conference and the Women’s Conference have two delegates each with the right to speak and petition.
The Assembly of Delegates elects the presidium and the council members. Its other functions include accepting the annual report, adopting the budget and ratifying the annual financial statement. It can submit motions and postulates to the Council, issue interpellations to make inquiries and publish resolutions to express its positions on current issues.
