The Women’s Conference was founded June 7, 1999, and consists of 45 voting members from various areas, including FSPC member churches, Swiss Protestant Women (EFS) and the Interest Group of Feminist Theologians. The Women’s Conference is a networking and exchange platform for its associated organizations and representatives. It deals with sociopolitical and church-related issues and questions from a female perspective. The Conference forwards these issues and demands to the FSPC and implements them in the context of church politics.
Networking, especially in the context of global church and ecumenism, is an important aspect of the Women’s Conference. A delegation of the Women’s Conference is represented with two seats in the FSPC Assembly of Delegates.
