Over 2000 participants at Open Forum Davos

Six panels with up to 470 participants in a frequently packed room testified to the interest in the topics under discussion at the 9th Open Forum Davos, presented by the Federation of Swiss Protestant Churches and the World Economic Forum.

From January 27-29, 2011, the 9th Open Forum Davos provided a public platform for provocative and critical dialogue among over 2000 participants and 30 panelists from areas including economics and politics, science and religion, sports and medicine.

The Open Forum Davos closed with a topic that could find deep resonance at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum, entitled “Burnout: The latest fashion?” The intense discussion reflected how this phenomenon has been growing increasingly into a problem that affects our entire society.

“We had an open discussion in an open atmosphere yet again this year,” said FSPC President Gottfried Locher. “The partnership between the World Economic Forum and the Federation of Swiss Protestant Churches was once again a success.”
