A New Council to Pave the Way toward the Protestant Reformed Church of Switzerland

Esther Gaillard (Vaud) and Daniel Reuter (Zurich) will continue to serve as the Council Vice Presidents of the Federation of Swiss Protestant Churches during the new legislative term 2019-2022. The newly constituted Council met for the first time with recently elected member Pierre-Philippe Blaser (Fribourg) on January 23 and 24.

The Reformed churches of Switzerland will join together to become one church as the Protestant Reformed Church of Switzerland (PRCS), beginning in 2020. The new church constitution was adopted by the delegates in December 2018.

The newly constituted Council of the Federation of Swiss Protestant Churches met for the first time on January 23 and 24, 2019, following the June election of Pierre-Philippe Blaser (Fribourg) to replace Daniel de Roche (Bern), who left the Council at the end of the year. The Council reelected Esther Gaillard (Vaud) and Daniel Reuter (Zurich) as its vice presidents for the new legislative term 2019-2022.
